Problem/Background:
I chose these work samples because they highlight my project management experience in the healthcare field. As a Management Engineering Co-op, I had to oversee all things management: project management pieces like creating Gantt charts and project overviews. These samples have to do with a GI call center department project where the issue was a diluted sense of roles and responsibilities cross-departmentally and we were tasked with streamlining the process.
Action:
I worked on several documents such as a Roles and Responsibilities document, and piloting a PDSA, however these two documents outline the high level project management pieces I did.
Result:
They impacted the outcome by providing us with a solid timeline of which to act and abide by, allowing us to launch the pilot on time and also have pre-planned checkpoint of review/iterate. It was also a good experience to - as the project developed - fill out and edit the Gantt chart accordingly which taught me that being adaptable to how the project moves is also important in keeping everyone on track.

This work sample is from my second co-op experience working as a Mangement Engineering Intern at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. It highlights my project management and organization skills, showcasing my ability to keep our internal consulting team on a timeline to improve the problem effectively and in a timely manner. These skills are important to highlight in my portfolio because they demonstrate my ability to bring cohesion to a team as well as understand context and relative urgency of projects when organizing multiple projects at once to create a team working balance that finishes all projects in an efficient manner.
