Dear Human Beings

Updated: Dec 5, 2019

A letter for The world. Our world. The people. Our People. A Plea for our future.

Human lives are more important than buildings.

Period.

I recognize and love French culture so much as many of you know however the difference in media coverage is as obvious as the suffering in Sudan going on right at this moment that Western and Euro-centric media does nothing about.

Martin Luther King Jr. said it best: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere... Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly."

Selective sympathy needs to stop.

'Sonder' is the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. Right now, these people with their complex hopes and complex dreams are being massacred and it is imperative that we fight strong while they are at their most vulnerable.

This is for Sudan, Yemen, the Uighur Muslims in China, Mali, Palestine, Syria, Myanmar, and India - places and the peoples in them that face monstrous oppression.

People are people are people and we need to see them as more than a statistic.

Let's not undervalue our role. Let's educate ourselves, inform others and take action. Our part has the potential to alleviate the horrors from a catastrophic event that may have aftershocks for the next generation.
